Early in his career he practiced many roles in rural healthcare pharmacy practice including retail, hospital and consulting. He then moved to hospital pharmacy practice in larger institutions with an emphasis on quality improvement initiatives and administration. This led to a transition into healthcare computerization serving 9 years with Cerner Corporation reaching the level of Sr. Pharmacy Strategist. Wanting to return to more patient interaction he returned to his rural roots to become the pharmacy manager at Miami County Medical Center.
