We serve patients at home, in the hospital or in our Hospice House to provide expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support for each individual patient and their loved ones.
Olathe Health’s Hospice Care serves residents of Johnson, Miami, Douglas, Franklin, Linn, Anderson and Wyandotte counties who are facing end-of-life illnesses.
We are Medicare and Joint Commission accredited, and funded primarily through Medicare or Medicaid reimbursements, donations, memorials and insurance. Hospice care can be provided in the home, in our Hospice House, in a nursing home or in an assisted living facility.
Hospice care provides patients the opportunity to live with decreased pain and symptoms caused by illness, while achieving a maximum quality of life possible, however the patient defines that. Hospice provides a team approach for expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support tailored to each individual patient, and extends support to family members and caregivers so the care and responsibility won’t be so overwhelming and frightening.
At Olathe Health Hospice Care, we continue to provide services after your loved one has passed away. You can meet with us one-on-one or connect with a Support Group. We also have Memorial Services in the Spring and Fall.
