Olathe Medical Center (OMC) earned Healthgrades’ 2022 Spine Surgery Excellence Award™ for providing superior clinical outcomes in spinal fusion and back and neck surgeries (without spinal fusions). With over 4,500 hospitals assessed, OMC was one of just 100 national hospitals and one of three hospitals in the Greater Kansas City metro area to receive this award.

Spine Surgery Excellence is one of 17 specialty areas recognized in the newly created Specialty Excellence Awards for Surgical Care™ category. OMC was evaluated on its Medicare Provider Analysis and Review data for spinal fusion and back and neck surgeries. In-hospital complications were also considered.
