Melonie Godbold is the Sept./Oct. Outstanding Associate

Congratulations to Melonie Godbold, RN, from the Emergency Care Center at Olathe Medical Center!

Melonie embodies exceptional, positive leadership in the ECC. She serves as the ECC Unit Practice Council President, publishes the department newsletter The Beat, implements policies and training on reducing human trafficking and volunteers outside of work.

Melonie is a P.A.C.E. Level III recipient— the highest level of professional achievement for nurses at Olathe Health. Her leaders say she goes above and beyond and provides excellent patient care.

“Melonie is an exceptional nurse,” Nick Mull, BSN, RN, CEN, ECC Manager, said. “She is resilient, punctual, knowledgeable, accountable and comes to work every day with a positive attitude. Melonie, hands down, is someone I would want taking care of my family and friends.”

Melonie has been with Olathe Health since 2011, after beginning her healthcare career as a paramedic in Johnson County. Her coworkers say she focuses on team members’ strengths and uses those strengths to improve patient care.

The Outstanding Associate award recognizes associates throughout our health network who are role models of the Olathe Health mission, help progress their departments and the whole organization, and provide exceptional experiences for patients and visitors. Six Outstanding Associates are chosen annually. One of these recipients is chosen by senior leadership for the prestigious Frank H. Devocelle Legacy Award.
