The laboratories at Olathe Medical Center and Miami County Medical Center provide services to inpatients and outpatients. Laboratory staff members are trained in the latest technologies and are continuously advancing the levels of service they provide.Many of the primary care physician offices across Olathe Health System also have in-clinic laboratories.
In most cases, outpatients can choose where they would like to have their lab work done. With the exception of a few insurance plans, the laboratories at Olathe Medical Center and Miami County Medical Center can process all physician-ordered lab tests. Patients can choose the location that’s most convenient to home or work. Since most tests are performed in these laboratories and not shipped out, lab results can be processed quickly and aren’t subject to transportation damage or delays.
The Olathe Medical Center laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists. The Miami County Medical Center laboratory is accredited by the Joint Commission.
