This American Heart Association CPR course is intended for participants who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in hospital and out of hospital settings (physicians, nurses, paramedics, EMTs, nursing students and assistants, RT, PT, OT and other allied health personnel).

This class teaches CPR skills for assisting victims of all ages (including ventilation with a barrier device and a bag valve mask device), use of an AED and relief of a foreign body airway obstruction (FBAO).
- A certification card valid for two years will be issued after successful completion of the skills and written test.
- A student manual is included.
- Participants will have hands-on practice, so comfortable clothing is recommended.
- Bring a sack lunch is suggested.
If you would like the student manual prior to class, it is available for pick up in the Education department located on the 2nd floor of Olathe Medical Center. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Books not picked up before class will be available at the class.
