Shanna Bird, CCC-SLP
Shanna Bird, CCC-SLP, earned her Masters in Communicative Science and Disorders from the University of Oklahoma in 2006. She enjoys treating disorders effecting cognitive-linguistics abilities, dsyphagia, voice and motor speech. Shanna currently treats in the inpatient and outpatient settings. In addition, Shanna has certifications in VitalStim and Signing in exact English. Shanna enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Bruce Charlton, PT, CLT-LANA
Bruce Charlton, PT, CLT-LANA, has been a physical therapist since 1980, graduating with his physical therapy degree from University of Kansas Medical Center. Bruce has experience in the inpatient and outpatient setting with a focus on lymphedema and wound care. Bruce is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) from the Klose-Norton Lymphatic School and earned his certification by the Lymphedema Association of North America (LANA) in 2005. In his free time Bruce enjoys painting and fishing.

Mark Dwyer, PT, MHA
Mark Dwyer, PT, MHA, has been a physical therapist since 1987, graduating with his physical therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. In addition Mark has a Master’s in Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas. Mark has practiced in the inpatient acute, skilled nursing, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient work hardening, and outpatient orthopedic environments. He is currently the Director of Rehabilitation Services for Olathe Medical Center and teaches in the PT education programs at Rockhurst University and the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Armando Eisma, PT
Armando Eisma, PT, has been a physical therapist since 1981, graduating with his physical therapy degree from Cebu Doctors’ University.  He has worked in acute care, outpatient and work hardening settings.  Currently Armando works primarily with orthopedic patients focusing on the foot and ankle.  Armando enjoys traveling around the world and spending time with his family.

Joanne Hanson, CCC-SLP
Joanne Hanson, CCC-SLP, earned her speech-language pathology degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1987. She has experience in home health, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation settings. Joanne is currently the supervisor of the speech-language pathology department. Her specialty areas are stroke rehabilitation, dysphagia, modified barium swallow, voice evaluation, cognitive therapy and VitalStim therapy. Joanne enjoys spending time with her husband and children, especially family game night and time at the lake.

Amy Konrade, OT, CLT-LANA
Amy Konrade, OT, CLT-LANA, earned her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Rockhurst University in 2005. She has worked in the skilled nursing, inpatient and outpatient settings. She enjoys treating orthopedic, neurological and lymphedema patients. Amy is a Certified Lymphedema therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy and earned her certification by the Lymphedema Association of North America (LANA) in 2006. Amy is currently the Clinical Supervisor of The Rehab Place at DB1. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and being outside.

Kristin Lehleitner, CCC-SLP
Kristin Lehleitner, CCC-SLP, earned her Master's degree from University of Central Missouri in 2010. She enjoys treating pediatric speech and language disorders along with adult feeding and swallowing disorders. In addition to her work within an inpatient setting, Kristin has also worked in the elementary school treating children kindergarten through 5th grade. In her free time, Kristin enjoys spending time with friends and family along with walking her dog, watching movies and anything outside.

Janis Miller, OT, CLT-LANA
Janis Miller, OT, CLT-LANA, has been an occupational therapist since 1992, graduating with her occupational therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Janis has experience working in pediatrics in a school district setting, inpatient hospital setting, home health and outpatient. She enjoys treating orthopedic, neurological and lymphedema patients. Janis is a Certified Lymphedema therapist through the Dr. Vodder Lymphatic School and earned her Lymphedema Association of North America (LANA) in 2001. Janis enjoys spending time with her family and genealogy.

Erin Mooney, PT, DPT
Erin Mooney, PT, DPT, graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010 from Southwest Baptist University and has been treating patients in an outpatients setting. In 2012, Erin completed her COMT (Certification of Orthopedic Manual Therapy) from the IAOM (International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine) for the upper spine. Erin enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog and cheering on the Kansas State Wildcats.

April Nanos, PT
April Nanos, PT, has been a physical therapist since 1999, graduating with her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has experience treating a large variety of patient diagnoses including spinal, orthopedic and neurological disorders. April enjoys spending time with her husband and family, cooking and dining out, and is a 70.3 Ironman triathlete.

Amy Nichols, PT, DPT
Amy Nichols, PT, DPT, has been a physical therapist since 2007, graduating with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She enjoys treating orthopedic patients along with having extensive experience in the treatment of neurological conditions. Amy is currently finishing up research on multiple sclerosis and exercise and is a guest lecturer for KU Med DPT students on multiple sclerosis and traumatic brain injury. In her free time, Amy enjoys running, mountain biking, waterskiing, golfing and completing triathlons along with spending time with her family. 

Mary Ruhl, PT
Mary Ruhl, PT, has been a physical therapist since 1975, graduating with her physical therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Mary has worked in a variety of rehabilitation settings and earned her NDT certification for neurological rehabilitation in 1984. She completed her Kaiser Residency for Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists in 1992 and taught orthopedic rehabilitation and continuing education at the University of Kansas Medical Center for three years. Currently her focus is in outpatient physical therapy. Mary enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Sue Wanska, PT, OCS
Sue Wanska, PT, OCS, has been a physical therapist since 1995, graduating with her physical therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center.  In addition Sue also has a Masters and Ph.D. in Child Development from the University of Wisconsin.  Sue has extensive experience in orthopedics and pediatrics.  She earned her Orthopedic Clinic Specialist (OCS) certification in 2009 from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.  Sue enjoys staying active though exercise, reading and spending time with her husband.   

Laura Wallis, CCC-SLP
Laura Wallis, CCC-SLP, earned her Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Texas Women’s University in 1997.  She has certification in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment for Parkinson’s Voice Program and VitalSim.  Laura has worked in long term care, home health, outpatient and acute hospital rehabilitation with a focus on voice therapy and dysphasia treatment.    Laura enjoys reading, walking her dog and spending time with her family.

Brian Adams, PT, DPT, SCS
Brian Adams, PT, DPT, SCS, earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2000 from Creighton University. He enjoys treating orthopedic and sports patients and became a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) in 2006 through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Brian is currently the Clinical Supervisor of The Rehab Place at SMP. He enjoys playing soccer, golf and going fishing. Prior to earning his physical therapy degree, Brian played college soccer at Creighton University and minor league professional soccer.

 

Megan Burge, PTA
Megan Burge, PTA, has been a physical therapy assistant since 2000, graduating with her degree from Penn Valley.  Megan enjoys treating outpatient orthopedic patients but also has experience treating a variety of diagnoses in the hospital. Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and children along with her three dogs. In addition, she is a huge sports fan and enjoys spending time working out and being with friends.

 

 

Brooke Kirby, OT, CHT
Brooke Kirby, OT, CHT, graduated in 1997 from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She became a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist in 2001 and a Certified Hand Therapist in 2004. She has past experience working in acute care, pediatrics, and outpatient rehabilitation. Her current focus is outpatient orthopedic injuries and post operative rehabilitation. Clinical practice expertise ranges from upper extremity sports injuries and workplace ergonomics to custom splinting and complex hand diagnoses. She enjoys family gatherings, golf and outdoor leisure.

Renee Hollowell, PT
Renee Hollowell, PT, has been a practicing physical therapist since 2004, when she graduated from the University of Kansas Medical Center with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. Currently, Renee enjoys treating post-surgical and orthopedic patients in the outpatient setting and has past experience in inpatient acute care. She strives to assist patients in accomplishing their goals for recovery. Renee enjoys spending time with her family and is often outside gardening or boating.

Elena Teo Jacobson, PT, DPT
Elena Teo Jacobson, PT, DPT, graduated with her Master’s of Physical Therapy in 1995 and completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011. Teo has also earned her Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy. She has advanced training in outpatient orthopedics, manual therapy and pelvic floor physical therapy. Teo enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and travel.

Meagan Milliron, PT, DPT, ATC/L, has been a physical therapist since 2011, graduating with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. In addition, Meagan also earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Kansas State University in 2008 and her certification for Kinesiotaping in 2014. Currently, Meagan enjoys treating a large variety of patients including orthopedics in the outpatient setting. In her free time, Meagan enjoys the outdoors, watching and playing many sports and cheering on the Kansas State Wildcats.

Kaycee Page, PT, graduated with her Masters in Physical Therapy degree in 2001 from Wichita State University. She has extensive experience treating pediatric patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions. In addition, Kaycee has extensive experience in spasticity management and wheelchair fittings. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings treating pediatric neurological conditions along with orthopedic injuries of all ages. Kaycee enjoys spending time with her boys, reading and hunting with her husband.

Megan Pribyl, PT
Megan Pribyl, PT, has been a physical therapist since 2000, graduating with her Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.  Megan initiated her training in pelvic rehabilitation in 2009 and has done extensive advanced training in manual therapy. She enjoys working with orthopedics, and disorders of the spine and pelvis.  In her free time Megan likes to be outside with family or traveling.  

Jennifer Wood, OT, CHT
Jennifer Wood, OT, CHT, graduated in 1995 from the University of Kansas Medical Center.  She became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2001 with her clinical focus being orthopedic upper extremity disorders, with an emphasis in splinting and burn rehabilitation. Jennifer has experience working in acute care, home health, skilled nursing facility, and outpatient settings.  In addition, Jennifer’s devotion to ongoing education is appreciated in her role as the occupational therapy education coordinator.
 

Stephanie Wright, OT
Stephanie Wright, OT, has been an occupational therapist since 1993, graduating with her occupational therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center. Stephanie has experience working in the skilled nursing, inpatient acute, outpatient and pediatrics settings. She has extensive experience working with orthopedic, neurological and pediatric patients. Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, riding horses, swimming and watching movies.

Jamie Nordstrom, PT, DPT, has been a physical therapist since 2009 when she graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is currently the Inpatient Manager of Rehabilitation Services, but has treated patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Her current clinical focus is on critical care and providing continuity through the acute setting. Jamie enjoys being outside, cooking, reading and spending time with her husband and three sons.

Todd Lowe, PT, has been a physical therapist since 1995 when he graduated with his Masters in Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University.  He has worked primarily in home health, but also has experience in inpatient acute and outpatient rehabilitation settings.  In 1999, Todd became the Manager of Rehabilitation at Miami County Medical Center  and transferred to the Home Health Department in 2006.  Currently, Todd is the Manager of Home Health Rehabilitation Services for Olathe Health System.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and cheering for K-State athletics.

Teresa Pomatto, PT, MHSA
Teresa Pomatto, PT, MHSA, graduated with her physical therapy degree in 1989 from Rockhurst University and graduated with  her Masters in Health Service Administration in 2001 from the University of Kansas Medical Center.  She enjoys treating general orthopedic , neurological deficits and wound care.  Theresa has advanced training in NDT for neurologically impaired patients .  Previous job experience consists of Director of Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Manager of a rehabilitation hospital.  Theresa enjoys coaching youth volleyball, scrapbooking and loves to watch her kids play sports.

Brian Blachly, PT, MPT
Brian Blachly, PT, MPT, graduated with his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2004. Since that time, Brian has been treating a variety of orthopedic diagnoses, including occupational rehabilitation, sports injuries, osteoarthritis and peripheral neuropathy. Brian was an All-American track athlete at the University of Kansas and still enjoys following sports, especially the Royals, Chiefs and Jayhawks. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
