The Cardiovascular Center

The Cardiovascular Center at Olathe Medical Center is connected to the Emergency Department – so patients who are brought to the hospital with chest pain or heart attack have immediate access to our advanced cardiac imaging equipment for diagnosis. If treatment is required, the patients are rushed into on of the connected state-of-the-art cardiac labs for catherization, stent placement or other procedure. The Cardiovascular Center is also where heart patients come to have outpatient testing and procedures performed.

Hybrid EP Lab

In 2016, OMC completed a $7 million expansion of the Cardiovascular Center, including a state-of-the-art hybrid electrophysiology (heart rhythm) lab.

The lab is designed to enhance patient safety and procedure precision. Sophisticated technology allows physicians and cardiothoracic surgeons to work together in the same room on highly complex heart rhythm disorders. The lab also features technology that exposes patients to less radiation, making the procedures more cost-effective.
