The Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation held its annual Yuletide Gala on Dec. 19 at the Overland Park Convention Center. A record 440 people attended this year's black tie event, raising  $132,000 for the Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation.

The Olathe Medical Center Charitable Foundation relies on the generous support of individuals and businesses to provide the funding needed for Olathe Medical Center and its not-for-profit affiliates to continue offering quality medical and healthcare services to the surrounding communities. Money raised through the 2009 Yuletide Gala will be used toward the expansion and equipment upgrades in our outpatient surgical facilities. This includes the addition of two operating rooms in the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Funds raised through the Yuletide Gala in prior years have also been used to support our hospice programs and to help offset the cost of charity and uncompensated care.
