Earlier this month, John Staton was promoted to the position of Vice President of Clinical Services for Olathe Health System, Inc. (OHSI).
“I am very pleased with the quality of leadership and customer service standards that John brings to our organization,” Frank H. Devocelle, President/CEO of OHSI, said.
John joined the health system in 2000 as the laboratory operations manager. He has also served as the laboratory director. Most recently, he held the position of chief clinical services officer.
In his new role, John’s key responsibilities will include direct oversight of respiratory care, laboratory services, pharmacy services, rehabilitation services and radiology. He will also be responsible for working with other leaders to improve organizational performance in a rapidly changing and complex healthcare environment.
“Healthcare in our country is very challenging right now, but we have an abundance of opportunities that will help us grow and thrive in the future,” John said. “The key is to quickly evaluate and act on those opportunities. I am looking forward to being part of the team that positions Olathe Health System in a way that ensures a successful future.”
John has a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Kansas and a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Pittsburg State University. He is board certified in healthcare management as a Fellow (FACHE) of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
