PAOLA, KAN. (Oct. 8, 2012) – Miami County Medical Center (MCMC) and Miami County Health Department (MCHD) would like to get input for community members about the healthcare needs and desires in Miami County. Community members are invited to a Town Hall meeting from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25 at Town Square, 15 W. Wea in Paola, Kan., to discuss this topic with representatives from MCMC and MCHD. A light dinner will be provided.
At the Town Hall, community members will have the opportunity to share their experiences and suggestions about healthcare in Miami County. This information will be part of a final public report, called the Miami County Community Health Needs Assessment (MCCHNA). The report will provide guidance to address the county’s healthcare needs and also fulfills federal and state healthcare reform mandates.
MCMC and MCHD are working with Vince Vandehaar, MBA, principal consultant at VVV Research and Development, Inc., to facilitate the meeting and create the formal MCCHNA report.
